Discover some of England’s most iconic destinations on this three-day private tour from Southampton to London. Travel through centuries of history as you visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge, admire the elegant Georgian architecture of Bath, explore the honey-coloured villages of the Cotswolds, discover the grandeur of Blenheim Palace, and wander beneath the dreaming spires of Oxford.
Over three memorable days, you’ll experience the mystery of Stonehenge’s ancient stone circle, stroll through Bath’s sweeping crescents and Roman heritage, enjoy an overnight stay in a quintessential Cotswold village, tour the magnificent Blenheim Palace — birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill — and explore Oxford’s historic colleges and timeless streets before concluding your journey in London.
Day 1: Southampton – Stonehenge – Bath
We will collect you at 8:30am from your cruise ship in Southampton and begin our journey to Stonehenge, one of the world’s most iconic prehistoric monuments and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the ancient stone circle and discover the fascinating history and enduring mysteries that surround it.
From Stonehenge, we continue to the elegant city of Bath. After lunch in one of Bath’s charming cafés or restaurants, enjoy a guided afternoon tour featuring highlights such as the Royal Crescent, The Circus, Pulteney Bridge, the Roman Baths, and Bath Abbey.
Following your visit to the Roman Baths, we will drop you off at your hotel in Bath for an overnight stay.
Day 2: The Cotswolds
Departing from your hotel at 9:00am, today is dedicated to exploring the timeless beauty of the Cotswolds.
Your first stop is the fairytale village of Castle Combe, often described as the jewel of the southern Cotswolds.
We then continue to Lacock, a charming village with a historic abbey and artisan shops. Lacock has served as a filming location for productions such as Harry Potter and Pride and Prejudice, and its medieval streets remain wonderfully preserved.
Next, we travel north into the central Cotswolds to visit Bibury, home to the iconic Arlington Row cottages overlooking crystal-clear waters.
From there, we head to Bourton-on-the-Water, often referred to as the “Venice of the Cotswolds,” with its low stone bridges spanning the River Windrush. This is an ideal location to enjoy lunch and explore the village’s shops and tearooms.
After lunch, we visit Lower Slaughter, one of the most picturesque villages in the region. Stroll beside its gentle brook and historic flour mill as the golden light enhances the honey-coloured limestone buildings.
Finally, we stop in Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds, where you’ll have time to browse charming shops, cosy pubs, and narrow streets before heading to your accommodation.
Day 3: Blenheim Palace – Oxford – London
Your driver-guide will collect you at 9:30am and take you to the magnificent Blenheim Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest stately homes in the UK. With over 300 years of history and more than 2,000 acres of landscaped parkland, it is also the birthplace of Winston Churchill. Inside, discover priceless paintings, tapestries, and remarkable examples of Baroque architecture.
Our final stop is Oxford, where you will enjoy a guided walking tour through this historic university city. Learn about the University of Oxford, its centuries-old colleges, distinguished alumni, and fascinating traditions as you wander beneath the famous dreaming spires.
At the conclusion of your tour, your driver-guide will transfer you to Heathrow Airport or to central London, depending on your onward travel plans.
