The beauty of a Cotswolds private driving tour is the freedom and flexibility that it gives you on the day. This tour has a set itinerary where we have a recommended route. Here we have combined idyllic villages with the more famous Cotswold towns. This gives you a wonderful overview and experience of what the Cotswolds is all about. As it is a private tour we are totally flexible as to how long you would like in each place. We are also very flexible and are more than happy to modify the itinerary on the day if you would like.

Paint me a picture:
Departing from your Southampton hotel or cruise at 9am, you’ll start the day by visiting the fascinating village of Bibury. A fairy-tale village with wonderful stone buildings strung out along the banks of the River Coln.
From Bibury we then continue on to arguably the most famous Cotswolds town and regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England; Bourton-on-the-Water. Known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ there is plenty to see and do with a wealth of attractions, shops, restaurants and tea rooms.
Our next stop is the picturesque village of Lower Slaughter, one of the prettiest villages in the Northern Cotswolds and set in the most amazing countryside.
We continue to Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds. Here you’ll have time to browse among honey-coloured buildings, cosy pubs, narrow streets, interesting shops and tiny tea rooms. Here you have free time to explore and enjoy some lunch.
From here we go through some enchanting Cotswold villages to the town of Burford, often called the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. A very iconic town and home to one of the most beautiful and ancient churches in the region. Stories aplenty!
Then we spend the afternoon travelling along the stunning Windrush Valley visiting hidden villages and the highlight of tour, the beautiful village and ancient ruins of Minster Lovell. This pretty village on the River Windrush boasts plenty of Cotswold stone and thatched roofs, as well as holding the title of being the region’s most haunted village. Minster Lovell is perhaps best known for the ruins of its 15th century hall, owned by generations of the Lovell family.
Departure will be late afternoon returning to your hotel or Southampton cruise by 5:00pm.
You’ll be looked after by our knowledgeable driver-guide and travel in one of our comfortable vehicles that can hold up to seven guests.
Your guide will give you a background of the area’s history as you travel, and at each of the stops you’re free to either explore with your guide or to have some free time to yourself, relax and maybe do some shopping.

The price is £545 per group.
The tour departs from either Southampton Cruise Terminal or your Southampton Hotel and we will return you to Southampton after the tour. Alternatively, if you have finished your cruise then we are happy to drop you off at Heathrow Airport for an extra fee of £150.

This is a day tour which departs from either Southampton cruise terminal or your Southampton hotel. The start time for this tour is flexible depending on when your cruise disembarks. Your guide will be waiting for you in the cruise terminal at a pre-agreed time.

Yes this tour can be run with a start in London and finish in Southampton however there will be an extra charge of £150.
What are the payment arrangement for the tour?
We require full payment at the time of booking.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is 100% of the cost charged for cancellations within 48 hours prior the tour. For cancellations given 48 hours and greater before the tour then we charge a 5% cancellation fee.
